[X Server: Easy WordPress migration] Errors encountered and how to deal with them

2023/1/3

During this time, I moved my blog from mixhost to Xserver, but I encountered quite a few errors.

All of them were due to stupid mistakes, but I will leave them as a memorandum.

"Failed to set up free custom SSL"

After adding the domain (before performing Wordpress easy migration), the following error is displayed.

In order to use the free original SSL setting, it seems that the name server of the domain must be the one specified by X server (if it is being operated on another company's server, the name server will be that of another company).

"Please change the nameserver of the domain to be migrated after the migration work is completed."After completing the move and confirming the operation, I set up a free original SSL.

"The source WordPress is an unsupported version.
Supported versions are as follows.
4.2" to 6.0"

This is an error due to the latest version being out of scope.

"WP Downgrade” plugin to downgrade WordPress to a supported version.

How to use WP Downgrade is introduced in the following blog.

You may have failed to log in to the dashboard of the source WordPress.
Please check that your username and password are correct.
Also, cancel basic authentication and robot authentication if they are enabled.

An error that you can not log in to WordPress easy migration execution.

For the time being, I tried the following, but it didn't work.

  • Username and password reset
  • Canceling basic authentication and robot authentication

When I checked the Login URL to WordPress, it was a WordPress folder directly under the domain, not directly under the domain (when I opened the blog, WordPresspublic_htmlnot directly underpublic_html/wpIt was installed below = The migration source URL is "~~.com"not"~~.com/wp”)

It was resolved by adding the correct address to the migration source URL.

It was multisite with a multilingual plug-in

WordPress Easy Migration does not support multisite functionality.

I was using a multilingual plugin called Gtransrate, so I solved it by pausing it.

This is the error that occurred when moving the blog with the easy migration of Wordpress on Xserver.
